Timekeepers came to St. Louis in 1979, having previously operated in Eastern Europe. We have four generations of expertise in buying, selling, appraising, and repair of fine jewelry, timepieces, and other collectibles.

Our buyers are graduates of the Gemological Institute of America.

Throughout the years, we have helped many individuals liquidate estates to their best advantage. Our national network of private customers, collectors and established retail jewelers make access to the most lucrative market for your valuables possible.

Family owned and operated, we are able to offer high quality services at affordable prices. We invite you to come and visit our unique stores and see a large collection of one-of-a-kind items.

As our family has grown, so have we. We now have 2 convenient locations to accommodate our expanding inventory and to serve you better. In West County, we are on Olive just east of Lindbergh and in downtown Clayton on Meramec, one block from the Courthouse. Both locations feature unique estate jewelry, one of a kind precious jewels as well as vintage timepieces and other collectibles. We invite you to check our inventories on line and to stop by both stores for a truly unique experience.

We are Interested in Buying, Selling & Trading:

Antique Clocks • Music Boxes • Watches • Jewelry • Loose Diamonds • Colored Stones • Paper Money • Coins

Timekeepers offers the highest cash value for your fine jewelry and collectibles. We consider the quality, size, rarity, and marketability of each item before making an offer. Over the years, we have found that once you understand how items are valued, the process of selling can be a positive and pleasant experience.

Seller's Options

Sell Outright - Receive immediate payment for an accepted cash offer if you visit with us in person.

Sell on Consignment - The broker option can result in the highest value being realized for your valuables. Timekeepers offers consignment arrangements that include fully insured coverage for your items while in our possession and immediate cash payment upon sale.

It's Safe - Mail Your Valuables to Us
Make a list of items that you are sending to us. Be sure to place a piece of paper inside the box listing your name, address and daytime phone number. Pack items securely and send via Insured Registered Mail. Upon receipt, we will call you with an offer. If you accept, a check will be mailed to you promptly. Otherwise, the items will be mailed back to you on the same day. Please call before sending any packages to us.

Understanding Appraisals

Appraisals represent various levels of value depending on their purpose. An insurance appraisal estimates the replacement or duplication cost of a new item in case of a loss. Most jewelry appraisals are based on insurance replacement values.

An estate appraisal represents fair market value, or the price that a willing buyer and seller, usually private parties, would likely agree on.
A cash value offer is the amount you can expect to realize from your valuables through a dealer, receiving immediate payment.

Insurance appraisals are not an accurate reflection of what you would receive if you were selling. Insurance appraisals are always substantially higher than actual cash values because market factors such as age, condition, and resale potential are not considered.
